Penguin Classics!

There are hundreds or thousands of wonderful things for which I should be grateful, but one in particular has warmed my heart lately… the $10 Penguin Classics.

There are so many books I’ve long wanted to read, or have read and wished to own, or have never heard of but, upon seeing it in its lovely orange-and-white cover, could simply not resist.  They are generally small and easy to carry around, and the range and scope of the books is impressive.

I’ve been wanting to read In Cold Blood for a long time, but other editions were always prohibitively expensive.  I recently finished it, and it was a phenomenal book.

So be warned, with my ever-increasing pile of Penguin Classic editions, I’m likely to berate you to buy and read any number of them.  But how wonderful- how truly wonderful- that great and important books are being made easily accessible, for less than the price of a crappy piece of pulp fiction.

There are some books you actually need to own- so you can refer to them when needed. Lets BHTV it out.

What are you talking about? There are dozens of copies of In Cold Blood at every used bookstore EVER. What are the other titles you picked up? I can’t read the bottom ones.
