Well, it’s 1:25am. I am almost done with all the things I need to do before I leave. It’s crazy that this year is nearly over, this long, intense, transformative year. I’m on holidays. Who can believe it? I certainly can’t.
About 4 1/2 hours from now, I’ll get up, run my very large pile of recycling downstairs, dash out to the shops to get some cockroach bombs, and desperately transfer my stuff from one bag to another in the hope of saving at least 500grams (for every gram counts). Then Joel will drive me to the airport, and suddenly, I’ll be on my way to China.
