So I feel like, over the last few months, I’ve gotten a fairly sound grasp of the American political scene.  It’s not exhaustive, by any stretch of the imagination, but it’s, at the very least, sound.

But with what purpose?
The simple fact is, I’m not American.  And though American politics really is global in its consequences, it will only continueto frustrate me that I can have no say in the process and decisions that are being made.  No influence.  Oh, sure, I can ask Megan to vote “for” me on occasion, but really…

And so, I am starting a new challenge.  To understand Australian politics.  And dammit, it’s going to be tough, ’cause there’s no Australian netroots movement, really.  Or maybe there is, and I just have to find it.
