It’s hard to keep up at the moment… between my new uni blog (which is assessed), assignments, readings and classes, poor l’il Naysayers is being neglected. So I thought I’d turn to an old favourite, Sufjan Love of the Week… Beautiful song, this. And it was Casimir Pulaski Day last week, so it’s appropriate.
This bit breaks my heart every time I hear it:
Sunday night when I cleaned the house
I find the card where you wrote it out
With the pictures of your mother
On the floor at the great divide
With my shirt tucked in and my shoes untied
I am crying in the bathroom
